Who is the Sprigs Program for?
The Sprigs program is for students aged 4-7. Unlike our Pioneer and Ranger programs, a parent or guardian must accompany their child for the two hours of class time.
Sprigs is perfect for families with children who light up at the sight of a bug, a bird, or a muddy puddle. If your child learns best through movement, touch, and curiosity-driven exploration, this program provides the ideal setting. Each session encourages play, imagination, and discovery in the outdoors — from digging for insects and building tiny animal homes to molding clay and playing nature-themed games. We turn natural curiosity into meaningful, hands-on learning that helps children connect with God’s creation in tangible ways.
When and Where?
The Sprigs program is offered twice each year, with sessions held in both spring and fall. Our Spring program runs from March through April, and our Fall program from September through October. Each session is self-contained, so students are welcome to join in either season without prior participation. New themes, skills, and discoveries are introduced each term, allowing returning students to continue growing year after year.
Classes take place at a variety of local outdoor sites in and around the greater Coeur d’Alene area. Each location is carefully chosen for accessibility, safety, and hands-on learning opportunities. Meeting sites are announced upon registration, and families are always welcome to revisit their child’s favorite spots outside of class.
