Tracking Expedition

Registration Opening Soon

Put on your detective hats! We are going wildlife tracking. In this expedition, we search for the clues animals leave behind—paw prints in the mud, feathers caught on a branch, gnawed pinecones, and hidden trails. Together we’ll learn to read these signs like a mystery waiting to be solved, uncovering which creatures passed by, what they were doing, and even where they might be now. This hands-on adventure will sharpen your observation skills, deepen your connection to God’s creation, and give your family the thrill of discovery with every step.

Students will meet at the East Canyon Trailhead located at 23801 The Old Rd, Newhall, CA 91321. Click here for a map.

All ages are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Cedarwood Outdoor School will loan out tracking guides, field guides, measuring devices, and other equipment to sharpen wildlife observations.

“For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine.” - Psalm 50:10-11
